November

I took the girls to Build-a-Bear for the first time. Kaitlyn built a Picahu and Hailey did a La-La-Loopsy.  I made sure we arrived early so it wouldn't be too crowded. I was amazed at how quickly you can get through the process and man, was it expensive. And they have thought of everything. The girls had a choice to have sound and a scent.

Walking away with their prizes

And this always cracks me up. One morning Hailey was so tired when I woke her up that she walked downstairs and face planted on the couch. Poor thing

Her sweet friend Luke - he lives in our neighborhood too so they have hung out at the pool before

We went to see Ralph Breaks the Internet with Aria and Kinzie

Halloween

Halloween was on a weekday so after work I picked the girls up and went to Grandma's House. The girls were excited to get into their costumes. But the next thing I knew, Hailey was laying on Grandma. She had a fever and said she was nauseous :(  Poor thing has had a string of bad luck getting sick at the worst time.

Here is Kaitlyn dressed up as a witch. She went trick or treating with dad and the neighbor across the street (and his kids). She had a blast. It was her first Halloween to really get excited to walk around with a group of kids.

And here was poor Hailey. She didn't even ask to go outside she was so wiped out. I had the dog behind a barricade and she asked if I did that so he wouldn't get him sick.  Awww :( She did want to hand out candy but I had to tell her we didn't want to get the other kids sick. She had the cutest Unicorn costume too! Grandma caught the only picture evidence.

Fall is in the Air

Kaitlyn requested her hair like this and I was shocked. Even better - she lasted with it the whole day. Such a cutie.

A new Sonic opened up by my parent's house so the girls enjoyed getting slushies. Kaitlyn is so funny because she insists she likes them but it usually takes her hours to get through them.

Look at the loving way Hailey is looking at her sister - so cute.

Hailey's birthday falls right at the beginning of the school year which is a bit challenging. Which friends to invite? This year was probably the hardest since she just started Kinder at a new school. She opted not to invite her entire class so we just invited some people she knew from the Village, along with Aria and Kinzie.  Her party was at Main Event. They bowled and got a card to play a few games after. We were lucky that she made it - she had a fever and missed school on her actual birthday. Poor thing!

Walk to school day! I lucked out and both teachers agreed to meet in the same place to walk as a class. So we could do it all together.  This pic was probably taken right before the sprinklers went off. Yikes. We didn't get too wet but Kaitlyn was definitely annoyed.

We even managed to sneak in a Columbus Day weekend trip to the condo.  How cute is she in Daddy's hat?

This girl has been losing a ton of teeth! Here she is with one hanging on by a thread.

And now, no front teeth!

Here are the girls' Hardy Oak fall photos. Kaitlyn surprised me the morning of picture day and asked to wear a dress. She hasn't worn so many of the dresses that I bought her, so I stopped buying them! She asked to wear the dress she wore to Shelley's wedding.  That dress was so dressy and I wasn't even sure if it would fit. So I pulled out this one that she wore last Christmas for our family photos. It was a hit! Note to self: have a dress picked out for next time!

3rd Grade:

Hailey asked for a bun that day.... but you can't even see it with the angle of the camera.

Kindergarten:

Bike Rodeo

Bike Rodeo is in the fall and is a source of major anxiety for me! We don't ride bikes so it seems like a last minute cram to get in some practice. Our street is on a hill and is hard for the girls. And kids don't ride their bikes around the neighborhood like we used to when we were kids. Either way, the kids really enjoy the event.

Summer Coming to an End

A beautiful Friday night at Aldaco's.

Back to school hair cut! She wanted it short so we did this and told her we could go back later for more if she wanted! I can't believe we waiting so long - it looks so healthy.

Back to school trip to the coast!  It was a bit bittersweet - we were there on the 1 year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey.

And can you believe we had never been to the giant shark mouth?
