Easter

The Easter Bunny came! And he bought Star Wars Chocolate "Bunnies!"

That afternoon we went to my friend Tara's house. She puts on some crazy parties! We did another egg hunt and there was even a visit by the Easter Bunny!

Condo Trip - Battle of Flowers

We like to take advantage of the school holidays and head to Port A. We did that the last weekend in April for Battle of Flowers weekend. It was great because it wasn't too crowded. It's not a holiday anywhere but in San Antonio! It was great to see the girls swim and enjoy the water. That was the beginning of a long summer of swimming.

And look at this beauty - we are in trouble!

Wait... whose birthday was it again? The girls sure did a good job helping dad blow out his candles!

First Grade Field Day

I volunteered at Kaitlyn's Field Day in the spring. It is always cool to see her in her element. She was so excited about the day. This was very different than Field Day when I was a kid. The kids just went around to different activities and tried them out and then moved on to the next.  No winners, no losers. No points. So crazy!

Since I was working a booth/event, I didn't get to walk around with her. But I did manage to snap some photos of her from afar.  Here they were waiting to get started.

This was my event. They had to use the squirt bottle to shoot the cups off of the table. It was a very wet event! Not sure what I did to get stuck with that game. Hahaha. The cool thing was they had high school kids who were there running the show. So I just had to help out a bit and supervise.  She is growing up so fast!

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt

Way back in April we went to the Easter Egg Hunt up by the pool. The day was a success because we got this gem of a photo!

And then Dad had to photo bomb! Silly Dad!

This year they did it was a little unorganized so we ended up splitting up during the hunt because all kids went at the same time in different areas.  Hailey had her game face on - such a cutie.

 

And afterward the girls got snow cones.  A fun family day.

Spring Time

The girls have been super interested in Snoopy these days. They are enjoying feeding him and petting him... not to mention covering him with blankets and making him wear hats.  Good thing he is patient!



New shoes! It took the girls to get new shoes and also offered to get them rain boots.  Kaitlyn declined but Hailey looked super cute in hers and wore them for days!

 We found another place that Hailey will eat - Chipotle! She makes a "taco" out of her beans and cheese.

Oh and Kaitlyn will eat the shredded cheese at least.... sigh.

Both girls are into donuts now too.  It is a big treat for them on the weekends.  Hailey tends to wear most of the icing on her face!

This was the first day of Spring Break.  I took off and hung with the girls for part of the day.  We went to the park and it was a gorgeous day.

When we go to the park the girls like to walk on the path.  Along the way there are stations with little exercise machines.  So they like to pump some iron!

This was Game Night at Hardy Oak.  The kids played a game with Oreos where they tried to move it from their forehead to their mouth.  As soon as Ms. York said "go", Kaitlyn removed the Oreo with her hands and ate it.... cheater!

Look at the concentration!  Everything is easier if your tongue is sticking out



We bought a golf cart to use at the condo. Eric has been working on some improvements so the girls have enjoyed sitting on it while he is in the garage.

Hailey as come so far in swim lessons. She still goes once a week with Grandpa Aitken and has gotten really good with going under water. I just added a 2nd session for Hailey and Kaitlyn is going too on Saturday mornings.

And look who decided she likes to take showers?!?!

Sister cuddle time! We misplaced Hailey's ipad so she was sharing with Kaitlyn.

And how sweet is this? It is from an app called Boomerang that takes a series of pictures and plays them forwards and then backwards.
