Tubes Part 2 and Adenoids

Last summer Hailey's first set of tubes fell out.  Right away she got an ear infection and so we were on notice that a second set might be needed.  Unfortunately she got a few more infections, including one that just wouldn't go away.  So in early February we went in for another set of tubes.  And while she was there they recommended taking her adenoids out too.  Often the adenoids can block the fluid from draining which can also cause ear infections.

Not fun.  She was super clingy and quiet in the waiting room and refused to take her jacket off.  Luckily the procedure was over quickly and everything went well.  The doctor said her adenoids were quite large so it was good we removed them  We had to stay a little longer this time in recovery as she was under full anesthesia.  Unlike our experiences with Kaitlyn, she was cuddly and sad.  So I layed in the bed with her.  She even had her first popsicle.  Here she is when we got home.  Poor girl.  By the way, her baby went with her :)

She stayed home with Eric after her surgery and the next day Grandma and Grandpa watched her.  Here she was on the way over to their house the next day.

And look at the cutey at Grandma's - played so hard and was still recovering so she fell asleep on the stair!

January pics

Here is Kaitlyn waiting before her Friday social therapy started.  It is essentially facilitated play with 3 other kids.  Wearing her Peppa Pig shirt

The girls had fun decorating cookies over the holidays so we kept the fun going and decorated some giant gingerbread cookies.

They have their moments these days where they really enjoy being together.  Hailey loves being just like her big sister.

Here Hailey was at the doctor's office.  She had an ear infection that just wouldn't go away - but she was all smiles.

After the doctor, we went to eat together at McAllister's.  She is growing up so fast.

Here they are again together - 2 peas in the pod...don't ask me what is going on with Kaitlyn's droopy drawers.

Aria and Kinzie gave the girls this puzzle for Christmas and Kaitlyn has gotten really good at it.  There is a different Disney character on each side of the cube.  She would play with it for hours!

New Year's Celebration

I am super behind in blogging... where has the year gone?

We had a great New Year's Eve with the girls.  We didn't stay up super late with them but we pulled out the hats and they really had a good time.  Kaitlyn outlasted Hailey, of course, but they both had fun.
