We love Kinetic Kids!

We just finished up another season of Kinetic Kids gymnastics.  There are no words to express how thankful I am for organizations such as this one.  Kaitlyn loves participating and it is great to have a little extra help so she can be successful!  And the outpouring of love is amazing.  On the back of the volunteer's shirts it said, "To the world I may be just one person, but to one person I am the world!"  So awesome.

The week before the finale we did a photo shoot - just an opportunity to get pics.  Here are some pics of the kids and the volunteers:

Here's a pic of just the kids in the class

And here are the girls with the gymnastics coach.

Then we got to go around to the various equipment and take pics.  Kaitlyn really enjoyed showing off to me and posing.  Here's Kaitlyn with her volunteer.  She bonded with this girl.... I loved to see them across the room.  Kaitlyn would cuddle with her and let her rub her back.  It was so sweet.

And last Sunday was finale night.  Here was where they were introducing all of the kids.

Here she is on the bars.  They tried to get her to flip over but she was having none of that!  A couple of weeks ago she fell off so I was just proud of her for getting back on!

This was her floor routine.  The couch was by her side prompting her with what moves came next and demonstrating.

And at the end, she got her medal and posed for some pics.

Blowing kisses!  So cute!

Another successful season!  Tonight is sign up for next season.  I think we will do swimming again to get ready for summer!

A Little of This and a Little of That

Kaitlyn has become quite the reader these days.  Here she is reading a book to her animal "friends."

When she was done with the page she would turn the book to show them the pictures (just like the teachers do)!

Gotta make sure they all can see it!

Here's Hailey wearing a hat they made for Valentine's day.

We went down to the Riverwalk to eat at Rainforest CafĂ© for Deanna's birthday.  The girls liked it and are still talking about it... but it was a little touch and go!  Some of the noises are pretty loud and kinda scary!

Here are the girls playing in the backyard at Aria and Kinzie's - in a box!  What fun!

Our weekly library trip

Here's Hailey one morning conked out on the couch.  The girls were staying up way too late talking and "playing" in their beds.

And look at mom's handy hairstyle for Dr. Seuss' Wacky Wednesday!

Another dress up for Dr. Seuss week - one day was Hat Day!

And that day she came home with this hat - pretty good!!

I took Kaitlyn to a Parent's Night Out even put on by Special Reach.  This is a new organization to us but they provide social opportunities for kiddos and a break for the parents!  She went to a Luau Party and had a blast!  When I dropped her off, I spied on her a bit through the window in the gym!

And while Kaitlyn was there Hailey and I went to grab some dinner at Oaks Crossing.  A win because she ran into her friend Evan from Rainbow!

And then we went for ice cream!

I thought this was cute - Kaitlyn was looking out the window at the rain... it was a rainy Saturday and she was cooped up inside.

We took the girls back to Cover 3.

Snapchat is always a hit with the girls.

I can't get this photo to flip but it is too cute not to share.

And I thought this was cute - all of our "kiddos" together on the couch.  Snoopy is so great with the girls.  They have been more into touching him these days and trying to get him to wear hats.  And he just sits there and takes it!

Birthday party at Incredible Pizza

My MoCAA friend Tara invited us to her 11 year old daughter's birthday party at Incredible Pizza.  Kaitlyn and I went by ourselves because the place is a little geared towards older kids and is a little overwhelming!  Kaitlyn had a blast - we have ourselves a little daredevil!  Here she is proving she was tall enough to ride this ride.  Can you tell she was a bit excited about it?

And here she is riding all by herself!  It went up and then would "drop" and then back up again.  The drop wasn't as intense as a roller coaster but she loved it.

And then she rode these bumper boats/cars.  I was super impressed that she was able to steer and she actually got the purpose of running into each other!

   She had a great time!

President's Day Weekend at the Coast

So we used the long weekend as an excuse to go to the coast this year.  Not to mention the fact that Kaitlyn had some teeth pulled at the dentist under sedation.... and we wanted to reward her and get away!  We got there Friday afternoon and took it easy since we didn't want Kaitlyn to overdo it.  The girls painted these Star Wars figures.  They are so into Star Wars these days!

The beach was beautiful.  It was a little chilly but nice to look at and walk around.

We went to the lake - that was a first for us and the girls loved looking at the turtles and fish.  We even brought some bread out there and fed them.

On Saturday it was warm enough for the girls to swim in the (heated) pool.  Mom enjoyed sitting poolside.  It was the perfect temperature - not too hot and not too cool.

And the girls started playing Frisbee.  Hailey was pretty good and has gotten even better since this trip!

Counting the days until our next visit!
