Summer at Sea World

We made a trip to Sea World this summer so we could get some splashing in.

We spent a lot of time in the Bay of Play - that was where they had these slides. The girls would climb up the cargo net and then go down the slide.

They also have a splash pad in that area. So we had fun there cooling off.

The girls had a first and rode the Shamu roller coaster in the kid area. They were both excited but we were nervous! What if they didn't like it and wanted off in the middle!! No worries, they both loved it. K is a little dare devil!

La Cantera with Denise and Lauren

This summer Denise and Lauren came to San Antonio for a few days while Denise was "homeless" - she had closed on the sale of one house but hadn't closed on the purchase of another house yet. Eric was in the UK so it was perfect timing for me and the girls! We had a great time hanging out at the pool there. The first day I went for some alone time while the girls were at Rainbow. Mommy needed a break. But the next 2 days I took the girls and they had a blast on the water slides.

Look at this view!

More great views!

No, Hailey is not climbing up the slide! This was her coming down backwards. They weren't supposed to do this and she is usually such a rule follower. She would wait up at the top until the lifeguard told her it was her turn... and then she would flip around!

Denise asked to take a picture with Hailey. For some reason H didn't want to... gee Denise, I wonder why?!? Ha, ha, ha

Morgan's Inspiration Island

Morgan's Wonderland opened a new water park this summer so one Tuesday afternoon I went with the girls to check it out. It was amazing and really neat that there is such a place for children with special needs. There were many splash pad and areas to splash around.

Hailey loved the ride. Mommy not so much. It was so hot and you baked in the sun while you rode slowly around in this boat.

There was a fun little slide that they played on for a long time.

And look at this giant bucket! It slowly filled up with water and then would dump on top of them. They thought it was really cool to run out from underneath the water.

And more pics from the slide - that is what we were doing when they ended up closing all of the water features. They said there was lightning in the area and I panicked because they really don't have many places to take shelter. Well, when I pulled up the radar.... I didn't see anything remotely close. So we ended up just going home at that point. But we loved it and will definitely go back.

Annual Port A Trip 2017

We took our annual late June/early July trip to Port A again this year. Since I wasn't working me and the girls headed up a few days early. That was some awesome time with me and plenty of time for pics. The weather was awesome. And we spent a lot of time on the new pirate playground/swing set.

And since we were alone, we didn't have any transportation. No worries - we walked to the pool!

This is my favorite photo right now - it is my Facebook profile pic! And can we talk about this girls awesome beach curls?

And this was a first, but we sent the kids to "camp" and we got some alone time on the beach. The girls hung out with the counselors and a few other kids. They swam in the pool, did some crafts and went to the beach! While the kids were away we had some fun and took some photos too!

Aria and Kinzie joined us for the trip too. We always have a good time when we all get together. It was a great trip and I can't wait for the next one!
