The Pumpkin Patch

I was a chaperone for Hailey's field trip to the pumpkin patch this year. I did that for Kaitlyn a few years ago so it was nice to do it again.

Hailey and the kids had fun. They got their faces painted and played in a tub of corn. (I don't think Hailey appreciated the corn very much.) They ran through a corn maze and had storytime. It was a great day!

Party at the Library

The Tuesday before Halloween, there was a party at the library.  I wasn't sure what to expect but we decided to check it out.  I brought the girls' Halloween costumes just in case we needed them.  Good thing I did because almost everyone was in costume.

The girls enjoyed listening to the music and playing the games. The prizes were little trinket toys or pieces of candy. Kaitlyn tried skittles and Hailey tried peanut M&M's. They even did some crafts.  It was a fun night!

Fall Festival

The fall festival at the elementary school was on a Friday night this year. I volunteered for the first hour and then the four of us walked around and enjoyed the festival. The girls enjoyed playing on the bouncy houses, played with silly string for the first time and got a balloon animal. But most of all they enjoyed the swing ride at the end! I can't believe that these kids have no fear!

Kaitlyn's 7th Birthday Party

We had Kaitlyn's birthday party at Inflatable Wonderland this year. Ava, Molly, Grace, Reese, Levi, and Camilia came from her class.

The kids enjoyed jumping on the bouncy houses. It was so cute at the beginning watching Kaitlyn run around and having her friends follow her.

Kaitlyn got tired out and rested in the movie room.  Zootopia was on.

They did some dancing to the cha-cha song and the chicken dance. Kaitlyn really like the cha-cha song.

Kaitlyn loves having people sing happy birthday to her. I think that was her favorite part.

And of course she wanted to open her presents.

Halloween 2016

Strawberry Kiss and Cheeky Chocolate had a good Halloween this year. After Rainbow, we went over to Grandma's to trick-or-treat. When we got home, we started walking around the block and ended up meeting up with a big group of kids from the neighborhood. It was fun to walk around with a bunch of people. Hailey was a bit timid at first but towards the end she was doing it on her own with Kaitlyn.

Eric joined us along the way and we finished the loop. When we got home, the girls answered the door for a few of the trick-or-treaters. They thought that was really cool. I wonder what they will be next year?
