A little of this, a little of that

Ice cream is a great motivator for the kids these days... I guess I should say frozen yogurt.  The girls love to go and get some with mommy!

While Eric was in the UK for a week, I took girls to the Jumpy Place on Saturday.  Kaitlyn for sure has no fear and runs and jumps all over the place.  She is particularly fond of the slide.

Hailey preferred to spend some time on the smaller play things.

Afterward we went for ICE CREAM (oh yea, and lunch) at Freddy's

Kaitlyn being silly in her winter hat... it was probably 40.

When Eric got back we went to Chuck E Cheese as a reward.  We went on Sunday right when it opened and only stayed an hour but it was a great treat for the girls.

Cuteness - sisterly love.

This was Hailey waiting for the ENT... she used to be so good at doctors but she is not as cooperative these days.

And this was Kaitlyn one morning.  Eric goes up and wakes up the girls and gets them to come downstairs on school days.  This day Kaitlyn decided to fall back asleep on the couch!  Sleepy girl!

Rainbow and the school are closed for MLK Day so this year I took the day off and we went to the new Children's Museum (the Doseum).  What a cool place!  Kaitlyn loved everything about it.  This was just a wind tunnel and she wanted to stay here but Hailey wasn't interested.

The ball area is a returning favorite from the old location.

The outdoor play area was a bit too advanced for Hailey but Kaitlyn enjoyed it!

And then she went down THIS slide!  It was so tall and I was certain she would climb up and not want to come down.  But she loved it.

The after slide smile.

After the museum we went to the park so we could get some swinging in.

How cute is this girl?  Kaitlyn wore this cheerleader outfit but it was in the closet and we never pulled it out for H... maybe because the football team has been so bad!  Anyway, H found it and wanted to try it on.  A little small but still cute!

They took this picture at daycare!  I love this girl

And when did K get so good writing?  She likes to repeat these letters that she learned from the Starfall app, but she did this all by herself.  She just asked me how to spell Grandmother.

These girls are so cute together (sometimes!)

Tiny Dancer

When did my little girl grow up?  She has been doing a weekly dance class at Rainbow since the summer and she seemed to really enjoy it.  So I decided to go ahead and invest in the outfit and shoes.  And OH MY GOSH!! This girl LOVES IT!

The Tooth Fairy is Going Broke

Kaitlyn lost 2 more teeth (now 4 in total) while Eric was in the UK during January.  The Tooth Fairy not only had to find cash but had to find a way to sneak it in the room.  When she lost the 2nd tooth she asked for Chuck E Cheese tokens... good thing the Tooth Fairy had some handy!

Elsa in the Making...

The girls got a Frozen Karaoke machine for Christmas from Grandma... Kaitlyn definitely has a some promise.  Maybe performance and theater is in her future?

The Coast in January

At the end of January we made a weekend trip to the condo.  Cinnamon Shore was having their 2nd Annual Stomp Winter Festival so we decided to check it out.

We got in the car as soon as Kaitlyn got out of school on Friday.  So we got down there right about dinner time.  We unpacked and just hung out that evening.

In the morning we went to Rodney and Terri's house for some breakfast.  The girls had fun hanging out playing on their bunk beds!  After that, the girls and I headed to the beach while Eric got some keys made.  I was surprised to see so many people out there and even some kids in swimsuits playing in the water!  It was so pretty and clear out there but a little chilly.  Not your typical January cold, but still tou cold for the beach.  But that didn't stop the girls from dipping their toes in the water.

As usual, Hailey was more timid than Kaitlyn.  At first she kept her distance from the water.  But then a wave came and left some water in a pool.  So she had fun splashing about in that little bit of water.

Then Hailey got more brave and started running from the waves with Kaitlyn.  Kaitlyn kept going farther and farther out there and ended up with wet pants (although she didn't seem to mind).  But once Hailey's pants were wet - we were done!

The festival was Saturday afternoon.  There was a band, toys for the kids, some art exhibits (that I never go around to looking at) and some adult beverages!  Gorgeous weather!

Lucy (?!?) painted Kaitlyn's face.  At first she asked for a lemon!  I'm not sure why... there is a Peppa Pig episode where they are at a fair and there is an element of fruit.... Lucy finished the lemon but Kaitlyn was not satisfied.  So Lucy added some cat whiskers and nose!  I like that she loves to get her face painted now.

Afterwards, we went to dinner in town with Rodney and Terri - selfie time!

What a fun, quick escape to paradise!
