Summer Fun in the Red Room

Kaitlyn has started sitting on the big girl swing at school.  I'm not sure if she actually swings on it though - the one time I tried to swing her, it ended in tears!

Here they are having snow cones.  I'm sure Kaitlyn didn't eat any of hers, but it is nice to see her holding it!  And look - it's her favorite color!

They did Splash Day at school.  I was hoping for better pictures, but this is all they had.  Looks like she ran araound and wasn't shy about getting wet!  She loves the water!

And look at this toy? Maybe an idea of something to buy her.  I'm all about arts and crafts type of activities.  Notice she is using her left hand?  We've noticed that quite a bit lately (of course, usually it is because she is holding something in her right hand).

Kiddie Park

Kaitlyn went to Layton's 3rd birthday party last weekend at the Kiddie Park. We weren't sure how she would react to the rides. I think we were afraid she would want to get off in the middle. Quite the opposite! She generally didn't want to get off when the ride ended. And she had no patience to wait her turn to get on! So we had lots of little fits. Overall she had a blast. Eric also had a tough time relaxing (that's what happens when you used to work at a theme park)!

Loving the pool time

Last weekend we got to hang out with Aunt Denise and Cousin Lauren at the JW Marriott.  We love that place and we had a great time letting Kaitlyn play.  On Friday night, Kaitlyn wandered the grounds familiarizing herself with the lay of the land!  She ran Eric and I until we were exhausted.  We figured there wasn't too much trouble to get into so we let her roam, but it is a huge place.  She even visited the golf course.

On Saturday we visited the waterpark.  Kaitlyn loves the water and really enjoyed the children's area.  We put the puddle jumper floatation device on her and that gave her a little bit of freedom while still allowing us to maintain our sanity.  She is so independent sometimes!  We even got her to try this water slide all by herself.  The first time Eric went down with her but once she tried on her own - she was hooked!

Later we visited the lazy river.  Kaitlyn really enjoyed floating around with us. We would take turns so one of us could get a break.  She didn't want us to ride in a tube so we had to walk the entire time.  Needless to say, momma got her exercise in for the weekend! We had a really good time with her.  She would sing her ABC's - which is so cute.  I need to get it on video.  It's a little hard to decipher but once you know that is what she is singing you can make out the melody.

After nap time, Kaitlyn and Dada came back and we sat in the bar area downstairs.  Kaitlyn really wanted to go outside (not sure if she would have headed to the golf course or the pool, but either way we weren't going)!  But she found some entertainment with the singer.  She got her groove on and a bunch of kids joined in!  So cute.  What a ham we have!  Likes to be the center of attention!

Nursery Colors

Last time I built the nursery off of a blanket. This time I found a set I like. I'm thinking it will be less labor intensive (it has wall decals) but just as cute!

Cardiologist

I went to the cardiologist yesterday to look into my shortness of breath. He said that upon exam I looked pretty good, but wanted to do some more tests. In some cases pregnancy can weaken your heart.

I have two different types of echocardiograms scheduled on June 19 and June 22. I go back on July 6 for the results. I also need to do a blood test which would tell if the heart is causing shortness of breath.

22 Week Bump

I've decided I'm big enough - I can deal with this big.  Now if I could just stay this way... yeah right.  I'm getting nervous, because this was me at 24 weeks last time.

It's Official

Our house is being taken over by females!  We found out on May 14 that it's a girl!

Visit with the doctor went well.  Blood pressure and weight are doing good.
